I deleted my post    Posted: Mon, 08-15-2005 12:36 AM, by Mark

Ok so being the bonehead I am I deleted the post on accident and since I am too lazy to type the whole thing out again, here's the long and short of it. Japan was amazing! Super clean, everyone was polite, people waited in lines, everything Korea isnt, while still being asian. We climbed Fuji and while it was tough it feels really good to be able to say we did it. We have seperate galleries for Fuji and for Japan. Oh yeah! The sushi was amazing!

I'm tired of looking at Mark's naked back...    Posted: Sat, 07-23-2005 08:15 AM, by Wendy

Time to add a new post so we don't have to see that freaky picture of Mark's back everytime it loads up! Mark and I were really busy the past week because it was an "EXERCISE EXERCISE EXERCISE" week... that meant 12 hour days (14 if you count the transit from home-work and work-home with no taxis, yikes!). It was a looong week full of sweat. It's way too humid here. It almost seems pointless to shower because as soon as you step outside, you're soaked in your own sweat. Try that with about 40 extra lbs. of chem gear on. Luckily, Mark and I somehow managed to escape actually putting on the gasmask while out in the heat. But we did do it in our airconditioned building at work. We'll have to take some pictures of us in all of our gear sometime for you guys back at home.

But now to the juicy stuff... About a week ago, a bunch of people at work were trying to think of a fundraiser idea for our flight. One of the ideas they came up with was "hey! let's see how much money we can raise to get some guys on flight to shave their heads! Mark, how much would it take to get you to shave your head?". And Mark scoffed and said "yeah right, like $1,000". (everyone else had been throwing numbers like $50 and $100 out there). Soooo, it turned out that people really wanted to see what Mark looks like bald, because they somehow managed to raise $1,000 in about 3 hours! Crazy, huh? By the way, I have never seen Mark get so panicked as he did when the number was up to about $400 in 10 minutes. His face was bright red... and Mark doesn't really turn red for anything! But for his hair.... geez.

The crowd cheered "shave the pretty boy!" as this went on....
A few of the other guys at work also agreed to get their heads shaved too. Maybe they felt bad for Mark.

R-Ball Injury    Posted: Mon, 06-13-2005 11:13 AM, by Mark

This is one of the hazards of Racquetball , especially if your buddy can hit so hard he breaks the ball.

Hawaii!    Posted: Sat, 05-28-2005 08:47 PM, by Wendy

Well Mark and I are back from our 5 days in Hawaii... it was so awesome! I actually woke up yesterday morning (in stinky Songtan) and was really really sad that I wasn't at the beach anymore It was just so relaxing to be away from work and spend all day out in the sun. We went snorkeling, jet skiing, ate a bunch, shopped, and just spent a lot of time in the water. Did I mention ate a lot? We came back to Korea probably 5lbs heavier and tan It was so nice to eat at nice restaraunts (Cheesecake Factory!! for me and Sushi! for Mark). I know we're really bad about taking pictures, I think we just get caught up in whatever we're doing and don't think about a camera, but here are a few pictures .

I think everyone should go to Hawaii! Mark and I definately want to go back, hopefully with some friends/family next time

P.S. We went to an amusement park a few weeks ago with our friends. Here are pictures!

Laura's 80's Party!    Posted: Sat, 04-16-2005 01:07 AM, by Wendy

Last night was our friend, Laura's, 80's birthday party. So yes, we busted out our spandex and hair crimpers (ok, or we bought some because some of us were only 6 yrs old in the 80's). It was a lot of fun, but I think the best part was just walking to Laura's house from ours. I've never seen Mark so embarassed before. He actually asked me if I would walk 10 paces ahead of him! He was going to dress up too, but it was actually really hard to find men's 80's clothes here. But 80's seem to be all the rage for women now. I got a lot of puzzled looks from korean people on the street. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves :p
